Smart Corporation, Inc. is an established Texas-based company with over 50 years of experience painting multifamily, hospitality, student housing, and commercial projects.

We are in search of a reliable, sales-minded Estimator in the commercial paint industry ready to become part of a great team. If you are self-motivated and a team player, we want to speak with you about this position in more detail.

Responsibilities:

Promote company services to General Contractors, CapEx Teams, and Property Managers.

Coordinate and manage various ITB's and other opportunities.

Bid commercial/light industrial painting projects exceeding $200K.

Review specifications, project schedules and other bid documents.

Compile project specific submittals.

Perform takeoff and quantity survey of projects at preconstruction phase.

Effectively communicate with General Contractors, field teams, office staff and vendors.

Work independently and collaborate effectively with the team.

Create and maintain client relationships.

Provide support to project teams.

Be hands-on and reliable.

Occasionally travel (<10%) to job sites within the state.

Inspect job sites during various stages of construction.

Maintain both paper and electronic filing systems.

Perform additional tasks as assigned to meet organizational goals.

Qualifications

Minimum of 1-3 yrs as a Commercial Paint Estimator or Project Manager.

Ability to communicate effectively with others.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Knowledge of drywall finishes and products, paint products, application, procedures, and field processes.

On-Center, Planswift, or similar software proficiency.

Working knowledge of MS Office, Google docs, or similar software.

Technology savvy to enhance client service.

Must have own transportation to travel, and physically conduct job site inspections.

Established client and vendor relationships a plus.

This is a full-time office position. Compensation is negotiable based on experience. Business hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Possibility remote work from home 2 days a week once training has been completed. Must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, have reliable transportation, a valid unrestricted driver's license, and pass a background check.
