Commisioned Sales / Business Development Opportunity
This is NOT an opportunity for everybody. This is for someone who's hungry, not starving. If you need a steady, reliable source of income that's given to you for showing up, this is not that. If, on the other hand, you're good with people and like to win in business, you can make money. If you want to grow with a start-up, sell products and services that lead to repeat orders and want to help build a business that sells to all segments, this may be for you. If you have existing relationships having sold to businesses in the past, that will definitely help you hit the ground running.
We're located in the NW Austin area. We make products that are applicable both B2B and B2C. You will be given an understanding of what we do and you will bring your shoeleather to bear. This isn't MLM or vitamins or insurance or any of that nonsense. It's custom products made to order. If you've already guessed, say so in your reply.
To succeed in making this worth your while, you'll have to invest time in developing leads, knocking on doors, figuratively or literally, making calls, running down emails and prospecting. There's also a basic understanding the business, which frankly, isn't too hard to know. You may make nothing the first month or you may score. Or it might take a few months to get up to speed. The upside is that if you generate sales, you will get paid. The more sales you generate, the more you will make. You will be our partner in that sense.
Why does this description seem cagey, you might ask? Because we have competition that would love to know what we're doing and we'd rather not share that intelligence. If you reply and the fit seems likely, we'll share more information about us and what we do. Sorry, but it has to be this way. Any agreement made with us will be in writing and will include a fair non-compete condition.
We'll support you with information, technical support for questions you can't answer (without losing your piece), a communication device, CRM software access and regular commision distribution as a 1099 initially. We may provide leads, but you have the whole of Austin and surrounding area businesses and other organizations to exhaust first, and that's what we really need.
There's no expectation of reaching a particular goal in a specified timeframe, so if you're looking for a side-gig with actual long-term growth potential that depends entirely upon your drive, this could work. We will also protect your commisions as long as you're with us, which means that if a reorder comes in on your client, you earn.

Produce, get paid, have pride in the accomplishment of helping to build a business, then go home, put your feet up and relax for five minutes. You'll have earned it.
