We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Assistant Manager to help oversee daily operations at our busy self-storage facility. The ideal candidate is organized, hands-on, and comfortable handling both administrative and physical tasks. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of office work and on-site responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in managing daily operations of the facility
Greet customers and provide excellent service for rentals, payments, and inquiries
Handle reservations, move-ins, and move-outs
Perform walkthroughs and facility inspections- What inspections are you speaking about?
Rent, check in, and clean U-Haul trucks and trailers
Maintain cleanliness of facility, including office, restrooms, and lot
Handle mail: collect, scan, and submit bills, notices, and other important documents to ownership and accounting
Process payments, maintain records, and help enforce facility policies
Secure the facility and ensure safety procedures are followed
Uphold a clean and professional environment at all times
Avoid saving personal passwords on facility computers or systems
Qualifications:
Previous experience in customer service, retail, or property management preferred
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, email, digital filing)
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Must be able to lift and move light equipment (trailers, dollies, etc.)
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
Schedule:
Mainly weekdays some weekends
Potential for overtime
Compensation & Benefits:
$17/hr
