Are you a quick and independent worker? Do you have an upbeat, can-do attitude?
Are you happy to dust the shelves, mop floors, clean rooms, set up and serve food, clean bathrooms and generally care for a Wizard’s Tower in the Hill Country of South Austin?
Are you reliable?
We run more than 40 classes a year on the campus of Wizard Academy, a 501c3 educational organization that teaches communication skills to small business owners from around the world. Obviously, we need our staff to be GREAT COMMUNICATORS.
We need someone whose job is to help support students during classes and take care of the tower itself in between classes.
BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE!
This will involve picking up food from our vendors (in our company fan), setting up and supporting the meal service, and helping clean the tower between class days.
You'll need to lift heavy things regularly and be physically fit enough to move quickly around a 20 acre campus.
We stay busy, so this is not a good job for people who are planning to find an easy going job that lets you play on the phone, but it's a fabulous place to work.
Along with your resume, send us a note telling us about yourself, okay? You can find out everything you want to know about us by visiting WizardAcademy.org.
HOURS?
Class days are long days. You’ll arrive at 10am to prepare for lunch and you’ll be here until 8pm-9pm to finish cleaning up from dinner and prepping the tower for the next day. On non-class days, the schedule is extremely flexible as long as everything gets done. Hours will be between 30-40 per week. There’s a lot to do on this campus, so we definitely can keep you busy.
WHERE?
We are really South Austin. This is not a great fit for someone who lives North of the river in Austin or south of Buda. We’re closer to Dripping Springs than we are downtown Austin.
If you’ve read this far, know that your reply needs to contain the words “Tower Guard 4” in the subject of your email or your resume. If it doesn’t, we’ll assume you didn’t read what we needed and will delete your email without reading it.
We’d love to walk around this campus with you and see if it would be a good fit.
Have a great day!
