Forklift: Operates the equipped industrial forklift to move materials in the warehouse region and to load and unload truck trailers, customers or shipping containers. Operators maintain the equipment, machines, and electrical components.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Work closely with Lot Clerks to ensure quantity on pallets coming in and out of Production are verified and correct.
Send out nightly De-issue Report on pallets that have been verified and if any adjustments need to be made.
Make sure all pallets are properly labeled, wrapped and free of any debris.
Cycle Counting
Work closely with Supply Chain Lead to ensure all adjustments and/or corrections have been made.
Researching inventory overages and/or shortages
Effectively communicate between various departments the status of incoming or outgoing ingredients and if any adjustments need to be made.
Make sure all ingredients are positioned to their respective locations.
Moving controls, devices, and levers to drive forklifts of industry to transfer materials between unloading, processing, loading, and storage areas.
Organizing and securing stored materials such as boxes, pallets, and so on.
Loading or unloading materials manually, off or on to pallets, platforms, skids, or lifting devices.
Performing routine post and pre inspections to ensure suitable working nature or forklift equipment.
Reporting to Supervisor regarding any damage to faulty equipment or any other safety hazards.
Weighing products or materials, and recording weight and further production information on label and tags.
Completing forklift operator training provided by Surlean.
Performing other duties as allotted by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to read labels and numbers
Ability to operate in high speed and fast paced environments
Some experience working on a forklift is required
Preferred Qualifications (optional)
Certification in operating forklifts is an advantage
Working Environment
Indoor work, operating machinery, manual dexterity, talking, hearing, repetitive motion
Physical and Mental Requirements
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
