Part-time and Full-time Independent Contractor Positions. No Remote Applicants
Perform routine administrative and legal processing tasks to assist attorney and local counsels prepare for pretrial hearings; and similar tasks; e.g, download foreclosure notices and deeds of trust from county clerk websites, fill-in data/information into pleading, form letter, and email templates; proof-read and make minor language changes to templates; file pleadings on Texas State Court e-file system; confer/correspond with court staff to set up hearings and the like.
Candidates must have a paralegal license and experience working for Litigation Practices.
Candidates must have strong: writing and communication skills, administrative skills, personal computer skills, including Word, Adobe PDF, One Drive and operating in a PC Network environment.
Candidates must be familiar with:
(1) assisting attorneys prepare/edit/proofread pleadings/pleading templates, and e-file pleadings;
(2) communicating with law-firm and court/clerk staff;
(3) Word, Adobe pdf; working with documents stored in iCloud, OneDrive, and shared network computers; and
(4) downloading documents from county clerk websites.
Candidates must be available immediately to start, and be available to work one weekend a month.
