The Quality Control Technician assists with developing, maintaining and implementing Quality Control Systems to deliver the continuous production of concrete and precast concrete products which meet established standards. The Quality Control Technician is expected to perform regular pre/post pour inspections and document all aspects of QC processes and procedures.
At least one year experience in concrete manufacturing or production quality control;
Previous experience with and strong working knowledge of concrete batching process;
Experience with design and control of concrete mixtures;
Knowledge of NPCA standards or PCI Standards for pre-cast concrete;
Knowledge of ACI field testing requirements for testing concrete;
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite;
Ability to apply experience and judgment to ensure all components are manufactured to the highest standards;
Excellent leadership skills;
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;
Ability to read and interpret building code requirements; and
Ability to read, understand and interpret architectural and engineering documents.
PCI training levels I, II and III;
ACI Field Testing Technician - Grade 1;
Advanced math skills;
PQS I, II, III; and
ACI Aggregate Testing Technician Grade 1.
NPCA PQSI (This is required after 120 days from the hire date);
ACI Field Testing Technician Grade I (This is required after 120 days from the hire date);
Valid Class C driver’s license; and
Record of safe driving for the last three years as shown on current MVR, with no serious accidents or traffic violations.
