The Lead Facility Technician performs general, advanced and professional grade maintenance in the areas of construction, dry wall, masonry, roofing, electrical, plumbing, and buildings, grounds and facilities repairs. This position will install or repair HVAC systems, coordinate repairs with other Facility Technicians and vendors, and training and directing Facility Technicians.
High school diploma or its equivalent and at least five years of facility maintenance experience or 8 years of related experience;
Ability to identify problems and implement solutions;
Demonstrated familiarity with the principles and techniques of plumbing repair, wood finishing, painting, electrical work and carpentry;
Working knowledge of the operational characteristics of mechanical equipment and tools; and
Demonstrated experience with HVAC system components, hot water heater installation, air compressor and pump repairs, control systems and conveyors;
Working knowledge of lawn maintenance and landscaping procedures;
Ability to operate a pallet jack, lift and forklift;
Ability to communicate effectively in English;
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
Three years of general building maintenance experience
Course work or other trades training
Valid Class C driver’s license; and
Safe driving record for the past three years.
HVAC-EPA Certification
