We are recruiting type 1 diabetes patients and healthy individuals for a paid research study
Purpose: to investigate the impact of type 1 diabetes on blood vessel function and blood pressure regulation.
Commitment: two lab visits and an at-home 24-hour ambulatory BP monitoring (ABPM). The first visit is for 3–4 hours, and the second is for 2–3 hours.
Eligibility criteria:
1. type 1 diabetic for at least 1 year OR healthy
2. 18 and 70 years old
3. non-smoker
4. no history of heart disease
Compensations:
1. up to $100
2. free DEXA scan
3. free fitness consultation with the Fitness Institute of Texas
4. free comprehensive blood test (CBC, metabolic panel, lipid panel, liver enzymes, etc)
5. free vascular health report
