Job Title: Warehouse Worker (3rd Shift)Job DescriptionThe majority of time will be spent on a boom lift or a forklift in the warehouse. The role involves receiving trucks from distribution centers 3-4 times per week and ensuring job pack orders are packed correctly. Responsibilities include loading and unloading shipments, assisting customers, job packing material, and handling UPS pack outs. Manual labor such as lifting tile or granite pieces throughout the day is required.Responsibilities
Safely operate the forklift/boom lift according to methods and procedures described during training.
Safely handle slabs and load/unload customer vehicles following branch-specific instructions and material handling methods.
Load and unload commercial and company trucks, containers, and trailers according to branch-specific instructions and procedures.
Pull correct slabs for orders and transfers, stage or place them in the correct location, and handle associated paperwork according to branch-specific procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of prior forklift experience
Experience in a physically demanding environment with regular lifting of 75+ lbs
Safety-oriented mindset
Comfortable working with a 5000-pound forklift or boom lift
Work EnvironmentWhile performing duties, the employee will be regularly exposed to outside weather conditions when loading trucks in the tile yard. The role is primarily based in an indoor warehouse, which is not climate-controlled but has large fans for cooling. The employee will work with and near material handling equipment, including forklifts and cranes, and will handle packaged cement-based products such as grouts and cleaning and sealing chemicals for tile and stone.
