Connect with your Talent Advisor for additional specifics.ResponsibilitiesImplement and supervise physical exercise programs for patients.
Provide patient testing and assessment before and after rehabilitation.
Plan and teach exercise therapy for patients utilizing test data, patient status and current medication regimen. Monitor patient's response and revise plan accordingly.
Recognize contraindications and abnormal patient responses to exercise. Respond appropriately to all situations including exercise cessation and referral to medical professionals.
Provide exercise information for patients, peers and the community which may include public speaking and education classes.
Ensure department equipment is properly maintained, calibrated and functioning correctly. Prepare, develop and maintain various files, records, reports; schedule patient appointments as required.
Provide oversight to department activities in the absence of the manager.
RequirementsLicensure / Certification / Registration:
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Exercise Physiologist specializing in Strength & Conditioning credentialed from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) preferred.
Education:
Bachelor's degree required.
Master's degree preferred.
Additional Preferences
Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science/Physiology or other related Allied Health Studies with a minimum of 3 months internship within Cardiac Rehab.
Experience within Phase I and II Cardiac Rehab preferred.
AACVPR Certified Cardiac Rehab Professional Certification or ACSM Clinical Exercise Physiologist Certification preferred.
