The ESG Strategy Advancement Professional has high enterprise visibility among senior leaders and works closely with enterprise business partners to ensure operational excellence of Humana's reporting disclosures and data governance aligned to ESG priorities. This role leads the enterprise ESG data collection and validation efforts, with accountabilities for the underlying processes, and assists with the strategic review of enterprise ESG metrics. This role will support the Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in their efforts to provide information to ratings/ranking organizations and other external stakeholders. The ESG Strategy Advancement Professional will also assist with the execution of Humana's corporate governance operations generally, including those related to Humana's ESG strategy, proxy statement and annual report preparation, stockholder engagements and other corporate matters overseen by the Office of the Corporate Secretary.Responsibilities
Lead the identification, collection and verification of ESG data for external disclosure in Humana's Impact Report, proxy statement, annual report, major reporting frameworks/standards (ex. Sustainability Accounting Standards Board, Global Reporting Initiative, Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures) and ratings/ranking organizations;
Contribute to the development of ESG metrics, disclosures and reporting to advance Humana's strategic objectives;
Monitor ongoing and rapidly changing dynamics in ESG reporting, with focus on ESG reporting indices and emerging ESG regulatory disclosures;
Assess ESG reporting initiatives, identify areas of opportunity, and perform benchmarking;
Partner with key process owners throughout the enterprise to support ESG operational controls and adherence;
Collaborate with Corporate Communications partners on the design, content development and implementation of Humana's Impact Report;
Collaborate with enterprise business leaders to ensure priority award applications are aligned to the ESG framework and priorities;
Assist in the development of executive-level presentations and communications, including for the ESG Steering Committee, Board of Directors, CEO and Senior VPs;
Assist in the development of key corporate documents, including but not limited to, Humana's proxy statement and annual report;
Support Humana's stockholder engagement process and annual meeting of stockholders; and
Support the Office of the Corporate Secretary in oversight of ad hoc corporate governance matters.
Use your skills to make an impactRequired Qualifications
Minimum of one year of ESG data management and disclosure experience
Proven understanding of ESG reporting frameworks/standards, including SASB, GRI, TCFD, IFRS S1/S2
Experience or the aptitude to respond to and engage with ESG ratings/ranking organizations
Ability to learn and work with advanced technologies and reporting tools
Effective interpersonal, teaming and communication skills
Excellent research and writing skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (emphasis in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Microsoft Teams, Adobe Professional
Proven organizational skills, as well as flexibility, and ability to manage multiple or competing priorities within designated time frames and adjust priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Skilled in supporting ESG communications and executive reporting
Understanding of corporate governance and proxy voting issues, including familiarity with ISS
ESG consulting, sustainability, finance, or related field experience
