Title: Electrical Engineering Specialist Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Engineering Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring SIM modems to accept signals from various chemical sensors, including pH meters, temperature sensors, hardness, conductivity and other analog and digital inputs. This role requires a strong understanding of sensor integration, data communication protocols, and modem configuration. Experience with water treatment equipment such as Walchem control systems (Webmasterone) and management of 4-20 mA input configurations is highly desirable. Experience connecting older electronics to newer systems is essential for success with this -project. Location: Waco, Temple and Austin areas Major Responsibilities/Activities

Configure and monitor SIM modems to receive and process signals from chemical sensors such as pH meters, temperature sensors, and other analog/digital inputs.

Develop and implement protocols for data transmission from sensors to the modem.

Ensure accurate and reliable data communication between sensors and monitoring systems.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to sensor integration and modem configuration.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and optimize sensor-to-modem interfaces.

Perform testing and validation of sensor data reception and transmission.

Document configuration processes, protocols, and troubleshooting steps.

Stay updated with the latest developments in sensor technology, modem configuration, and data communication standards.

Maintain water monitoring equipment and make repairs as necessary to include replacing probes and sample tubing, replace reagents, displays, etc.

Collect water samples for laboratory testing, and conduct pH, temperature and chlorine tests on water samples using established methods.

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or GED

At least 5 years of experience of connecting older technology to newer communication and software platforms. Candidate should state in application at least three examples of work they have performed.

Strong knowledge of data communication protocols (e.g., MQTT, HTTP, TCP/IP).

Experience with analog and digital signal processing.

Familiarity with IoT platforms and cloud-based data storage solutions.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate's Degree in electrical technology.

Experience with chemical sensors, including pH meters and temperature sensors.

Knowledge of wireless communication technologies (e.g., GSM, LTE, NB-IoT).

Understanding of data encryption and security protocols.

Certification in IoT or related technologies.
