Valid Texas Class A Commercial Driver License or ability to acquire license and/or endorsements within 120 days of employment.
Ability to produce and maintain an acceptable driving record.

This Distribution Electrician III (DE III ) position plays a critical role in executing a distribution maintenance program at Austin Energy. As a properly trained Smart Grid staff member, the DE III helps ensure proper maintenance of the power delivery system is routinely achieved. The DE III performs maintenance of the system which reduces the occurrence of customer outages, power quality issues and ensures timely and effective restoration of service when outages occur.This position is responsible for the installation and maintenance of all smart grid equipment such as voltage regulators, reclosers, capacitor banks, ATO’s, Vista gear and Trip savers.
