Volunteer Lesson Planners Wanted For Educational Charity About Space and Space Exploration
We're looking for volunteers to write lesson plans for grades K-6 about Space and Space Exploration
All lesson plans should be written using:
1) Google Docs
2) Google Sheets
3) Other free Google tools
We'd like to use a lot of images and build lesson plans around those images.
Images should be Open Source (licensed for use by the general public) and should be sourced from:
1) NASA (nasa.gov). example: https://science.nasa.gov/resource/victoria-crater-at-meridiani-planum-2/

Please provide a link to each Open Source image you use in or attached to the documents you create using free Google tools.

What Is The Federation?
Think Starfleet without space ships – an open source Academy that does the following:
i. Provides open source lesson plans for grades K-12 (Beginning Fall 2025)
ii. Creates model space colonies on Indian reservations (Beginning Spring 2026)
iii. Pioneers new teaching methods based on respect for the natural world
iv. Trains a new generation of scientists, creative thinkers and world leaders
What Is The Vision Of The Federation?
Space X is in the rocket business – designing, engineering, making and flying the incredible vehicles that are propelling mankind into a new age of interplanetary travel.
NASA is in the business of strict scientific implementation and data acquisition – creating highly trained teams that build some of the most sophisticated machines and instruments ever conceived in order to gather precise data off world.
The Federation is in the business of getting kids ready for a career in space exploration, either as astronauts or as scientists in essential support roles on the ground. We will not place teachers or educate students directly, instead we will provide lesson plans and other educational materials free of charge to teachers anywhere in the world.
Everything is Open Source
Following in the footsteps of NASA and ESA, all program data and educational materials in our programs will be released under an open source (CC BY 4i – Creative Commons 4 International) license – enabling teachers anywhere in the world to download our curriculum and our model space colony framework at no cost.
