Bookkeeper Posting Job Title: Local Bookkeeper

Location: SW Austin, Texas

Employment Type: Part-Time for Busy Executive, Expect to Stop by House 1-2x per month, rest can be remote Job

Description: I am seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Bookkeeper to help me and manage the financial operations for a variety of accounts and investments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping, limited financial planning (making sure money is available for capital calls) and getting records in good shape to give to tax accountant.

Responsibilities:

Banking & Reconciliation:

Perform monthly reconciliations for multiple banking and investment accounts in QuickBooks.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

Assist in monthly and quarterly budgeting to track income, expenses, and cash flow.

Provide variance analysis and highlight areas for improvement.

Tax Planning Support:

Prepare financial records for tax professionals, ensuring all documents are accurate and comprehensive.

Track and organize deductible expenses and maintain compliance with financial regulations. Bill Management: Oversee accounts payable, ensuring bills are paid accurately and on time. Track recurring expenses and provide recommendations for optimization.

Capital Call Planning:

Develop and manage schedules for capital calls related to investment commitments.

Ensure funds are available and allocated appropriately.

Additional Financial Oversight:

Generate reports to support financial decision-making. Requirements:

Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably with exposure to investment or real estate accounting.

Proficiency in QuickBooks (desktop and/or online versions).

Strong understanding of budgeting and financial planning.

Familiarity with tax preparation and compliance processes.

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Strong communication skills to liaise with executive and his assistant. Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with private equity or real estate investment bookkeeping.

Advanced Excel skills or proficiency with other financial software.

Knowledge of capital call structures and investment reporting.
