Is that you?Work location: Texas Health Arlington Memorial: 800 West Randol Mill Road Arlington, Texas 76012Work hours: Full Time, 40 hours/week; Days 8:00am – 4:30pm with flexibility needed on procedural days.Department highlights:· Team based environment· Workplace culture 2 nd to none· Great benefits / 401K / PTOHere’s What You NeedEducation· Bachelor’s Degree Nursing or related field requiredExperience· 3 years clinical experience required· 1 year oncology experience preferred· Procedural experience preferredLicenses and Certifications· RN – Registered Nurse upon hire required AND· BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required AND· OCN – Oncology Certified Nurse upon hire preferredWhat You Will Do· Program Development: Acts as a leader in the development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical outcomes that support departmental and organizational goals of oncology care within the hospital entity and overall Texas Health System.· Coordination of Care/Patient Navigation: Utilizes current research and evidence based standards of practice to develop, analyze, and coordinate a comprehensive plan of patient education activities, including goals assessment, planning, implementation, needed resources and evaluation methods to support improved patient outcomes.· Coordination of Educational Resources: Functions as a consultant by collaborating with managers, staff, physicians, patients and other members of the healthcare team to identify, plan, implement, and evaluate educational interventions.· Community Awareness and Education: Utilizes current evidence-based practice and research findings to promote cancer awareness in the community.· Cancer Program Responsibilities: Participates in development, implementation and evaluation of cancer program specific goals and objectives.
