Job Description
The role of Assistant Production Manager is key to the success of our business. Their primary role will be to assist the Production Manager with administrative tasks such as production schedules, production job creation, maintaining timesheets, physical inventory, materials purchasing and shipping/receiving. Must be able to troubleshoot creatively, solve problems effectively, and make informed decisions while successfully guiding others through constant change.
- Supervise and motivate cut and sew, shipping and warehouse teams
- Oversee facility and machine maintenance and coordinate work done by maintenance contractors
- Ensuring that production is completed before deadlines
- Oversee quality throughout the production process
- Utilize computer-based production system and become thoroughly versed in its capabilities and limitations
- Perform time studies and materials usage analysis and assist in identifying and creating efficiency gains or cost reduction in production process
- Assist Production Manager with new product development process and feasibility analysis performed with sales and marketing team
- Review worker performance and identify training needs
- Help train workers in various processes
- Perform related tasks as required
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge management in a manufacturing environment
- Good organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- MS Office
- Ability to learn and execute reports on ERP systems and use analytic tools such as Knime, PowerBI or other BI software
- 2-3 years of experience is a plus
Additional Information
Salary 40K-50K DOE.
