Responsible for a variety of administrative tasks, requiring moderate exercise of independent judgment, initiative and ability to make decisions relative to office operations. Responsible for financial and administrative services.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Various office-related tasks, including answering the phone;mail and package distribution; ordering office supplies;managing copier maintenance and access; requesting keys andswipe access; arranging guest parking; and assisting with newhire, volunteer, and visiting scholar processes.
Prepares travel authorizations, and completes expense reportprocessing for faculty, researchers and guests.
Submits non- purchase order vendor vouchers.
Serves as assistant to department chair.
Makes meeting arrangements, including arranging for catering, roomreservations, invitations, PowerPoint slides, handouts, minutes.
Assists committee and chair with endowed scholarship process.
Prepares donor thank you letters monthly.
Assists committee and chair with promotion and tenureprocess, comprehensive periodic reviews, and annual facultyevaluations processes.
Assists committee with annual awards process.
Assists other administrative staff as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with one (1) year office administration experience, or high school with three (3) years of increasingly responsible administrative and clerical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Five (5) years of administrative and clerical experience.
