Bigfoot Tires and Repairs is a reputable and growing mechanic shop specializing in heavy hauler repairs and parts sales availability.

We pride ourselves on providing high-quality repairs and exceptional customer service. We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Mechanical Shop Assistant with Sales Experience. This role combines providing essential support to our repair technicians with actively engaging customers to understand their needs and promote our services.

Location: 8351 E Amarillo Blvd, Amarillo Tx 79107

Job Type: Full-time/Part-time

Responsibilities:

Customer Service; Sales:

Greet customers warmly and professionally upon arrival.

Listen attentively to customer descriptions of issues and accurately document their concerns.

Provide clear and concise information about our repair services, pricing, and turnaround times.

Actively promote additional services, and related products to meet customer needs.

Follow up with customers regarding repair status and completion.

Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and efficient manner, escalating when necessary.

Process payments accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale system.

Maintain a clean and organized customer service area.

Bigfoot Shop Support:

Assist repair technicians with basic tasks such as locating parts, organizing tools, and preparing equipment access.

Maintain inventory of common parts and supplies, and notify management when restocking is needed.

Receive and log in new repair items, ensuring accurate documentation of make, model, and issue.

Prepare repair items for customer pickup, ensuring all necessary paperwork is complete.

Keep the repair shop area clean, organized, and safe.

Assist with other shop duties as needed.

Administrative Tasks:

Answer phone calls and manage appointment scheduling.

Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and repair orders.

Assist with generating invoices and processing payments.

Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Proven experience in a customer service or sales role, preferably in a service-oriented industry.

Basic understanding of diesel equipment is a plus.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills.

Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-centric approach.

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in basic computer skills and point-of-sale systems.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Driver's license and reliable transportation if local errands are required.
