Job Description:We invite you to join the GIS team as Jira Administrator who will be responsible for administering , evolving and supporting Jira Server/Data Centre instances.In this role you will have architecture level influence over the entire implementation along with the business as usual administration.We are a tight-knit, supportive community passionate about delivering the best experience for our customers while remaining sensitive to their unique needs.Whether you are de-bugging existing applications, or collaborating with various teams/team-members, for example, your skills will be tested and your knowledge-base will grow as you rise to meet the challenges.Required Skills:• Commercial experience as a Super user or Administrator of Jira• Experience in installing and configuring new Jira environments• Some programming knowledge (Java/Python)• Worked on Jira integration with SSO systems• Worked on federating the Jira authorization• Good experience with Jira plugin management/development• Deep Unix knowledge• Deep knowledge in configuring Jira Data Centre clusters/load balancers/SSO• Very good scripting knowledge• Deep knowledge of the Jira platform with experience building complex Jira workflows, permission schemes, and screens.• Deep understanding of the Jira application framework for custom application development as well as experience leveraging the Jira API.• Experience working in the Agile development process and good understanding of various phases of Software Development Lifecycle• Relational database experience and proven abilities in MySQL and good understanding in MySQL/Oracle• Ability to communicate, written and verbal, with technical and non-technical cross-functional teamsEnterprise Role Overview - Participates in design, development and implementation of systems engineering activities, to include OS technical support, systems programming and data center capabilities. Responsible for components of complex engineering and/or analytical tasks and activities. Assists in establishment of input/output processes and working parameters for hardware compatibility and coordination of subsystems design and integration of total system. Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource; provides tech knowledge and capabilities as team member and individual contributor. Will not have direct reports but will influence and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives or operations. Provides input on staffing, budget and personnel.
