Electric Factory Energy is seeking a solar installation technician who will be responsible for working as a leader to integrate solar energy into the beautiful US Virgin Islands. We build cutting edge solar energy systems (micro-grids) that are off-grid capable and work with our customer's existing generators to provide the ultimate sustainable energy systems.
We are rapidly growing and need solid team members to help expand our operations into other Caribbean territories. We are willing to train the right candidates. You will be working closely with the crew and assisting the mechanical portions of residential and commercial solar installations. You will help with inventory organization, install and utilize safety equipment, perform array layout, racking and module installation, inverter and battery installation, electrical service re-routing and upgrading, monitoring system installation and total system commissioning with documentation. The solar installer will work as part of a team to safely and successfully complete residential and commercial solar installations. Always provide exceptional customer service to every customer, throughout the installation process.
Additional duties may be required as needed such as vehicle and inventory maintenance and attending marketing events.
Qualifications & Requirements:
1+ year(s) of roof work and/or solar experience preferred.
General construction/framing experience is a plus.
Electrical experience is a plus.
1 year of working at heights including on rooftops, climbing ladders and stairs, and performing repetitious duties such as lifting, bending and standing for long periods of time.
Ability to lift 50-100 pounds of weight frequently throughout the workday.
Ability to safely handle and maintain basic hand and power tools used for installation.
Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
Ability to work well others in a collaborative team environment.
Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment screenings.
