Reporting to the General Manager, the Director of Sales & Distribution is responsible for overseeing the hotel’s entire sales and marketing strategy, ensuring optimal positioning, revenue growth, and brand visibility.Sales ResponsibilitiesMastering market segments and distribution channels to maximize revenue.Overseeing key account management across all target feeder markets.Assisting the sales team in securing business for all revenue-generating centers, including rooms, f&b dining and events.Analyzing monthly account production with the sales team to identify trends and opportunities.Supervising the negotiation and execution of global contracts.Prospecting the market to develop new high-value accounts and nurture existing ones.Representing the hotel at international industry conventions and local tourism and hospitality association meetings to strengthen the hotel’s market presence.Defining strategic objectives for the sales team and monitoring their performance.Leading talent development within the team: identifying training needs, organizing development programs, and fostering a culture of excellence.Managing the full spectrum of HR functions within the department, including hiring, performance evaluations, training, coaching, and disciplinary actions.Ensuring exceptional standards of professionalism, hygiene, and brand image within the team.Establishing and monitoring departmental budgets to ensure profitability.In collaboration with the General Manager, developing and executing pricing strategies for all market segments.Working with the Reservations/Revenue Manager to implement the strategy to optimize revenue.Collaborating with the Sales Team and Reservations Manager to develop and execute a comprehensive Groups and Events strategy.Performing additional responsibilities as assigned to enhance the hotel's commercial success.
