Job Description
The Billing Data Entry Representative is responsible for the timely processing of adjustments to clear customer invoices and deductions and the related archiving of the related documents. The Billing Data Entry Representative is also responsible for a level of backup for the Billing function.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities 1. Enter relevant data in the IBM system to release invoices. 2. Enter approved credit and debit requests into the IBM system related to deductions. 3. Enter approved Cancel/Rebill Requests, Full Cancel Requests and Miscellaneous Invoices related to the Billing function into the IBM system. 4. Use the IBM system to obtain Accounts Receivable and shipment information as part of the credit entry or deduction research process. 5. Perform daily scanning of Billing documents, deduction packets, approvals and support documentation into Document Direct system. 6. Index and file shipping documents using SimpleIndex and/or other document management application for audit and research purposes. 7. Backup the Billing function as needed when Billing Representatives are out of the office for scheduled or unscheduled times. 8. Other duties as requested by management.Qualifications
Education: High School Graduate, College Course Work or Degree Preferred Related Experience: 1 year deduction resolution or collections experience, sales/customer service/logistics experience is desired. Equipment/Software Skills: Data Entry accuracy and speed. Strong PC skills – Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook primarily). Must be able to quickly learn new system applications. Experience working with databases and exporting to Excel is preferred.Competencies:
