Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automobile Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles to ensure customer satisfaction and safety. This position requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect, diagnose, and repair automotive systems including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, steering, air conditioning, and electrical systems.
Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
Use diagnostic tools and technical manuals to identify issues and determine appropriate repair procedures.
Communicate findings and repair needs clearly with service advisors and customers.
Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
Follow manufacturer guidelines and dealership policies for repairs and maintenance.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Stay updated on industry trends, new technology, and manufacturer bulletins.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED; technical or vocational training preferred.
Certification from ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) or similar is a plus.
Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
Strong understanding of automotive systems and diagnostic tools.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various positions.
