Job Title - Medical Administrative Senior Representative

Shift - M-F 8-5 CST
General Purpose
Responsible for supporting the front desk clinic operations which includes taking all incoming calls with the ability to triage the caller needs, answer questions regarding services offered at Client, call patients to remind of upcoming appointment, completion of patient registration, and patient discharge process. The PSL will assist the Clinical Practice Manager in time management of patient flow throughout the center operations.
Core Responsibilities/Essential Functions
Understanding of the purpose of the Client and the services offered in the clinics
Knowledge of what HEDIS/STARS/P4Q measures are and the role they play with MA plans
Verbalize understanding of how to identify patient appointment types based on patient need
Provides a positive attitude when giving help to patients via phone and in person
Strong computer skills
Understanding of Insurance eligibility guidelines
Maintains and updates system to reflect accurate patient demographic and insurance information
Maintains HIPAA compliance and is responsible for keeping patient confidentiality
Communicate with all departments to resolve issues, provide positive and constructive feedback and communicate information to members at both the point of care and via telephone
Develops and maintains good relations with all team members, referring physicians, and external HealthSpring Net-Ops and Enterprise staff
Participate in staff meetings and new member orientation, as requested by management

Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or GED equivalent
One year experience in a physician office environment or practice management setting
Computer Skills
Preferred Requirements
College Degree
Three years experience in a physician office environment or practice setting
Experience with physician office or hospital patient scheduling/registration/billing
Non-negotiable skills:
Previous clinic experience, dependable, passion for people
