We are now hiring a full-time Cook/Family Assistant for a lovely family of 4 in Nashville, TN. The Ideal Cook/Family Assistant will be capable of preparing lunch and dinner on a regular basis and overall keeping all meals as healthy as possible. Must be able to travel 3-4 weeks at a time a couple of times per year during the summer, Christmas and New Year. Live-in accommodations are provided when traveling. This role requires a team player who can chip in when needed.
Local candidates preferred
The family entertains often with small dinner parties; sometimes they will have their on-call chef come who caters for parties and events. However, the ability to cook for dinner parties is important. Interested candidates must reply with a resume in word format for further consideration.
Schedule
Days: Monday- Friday (flexible schedule)
Arrive between 10:00 am to 11:00 am
The family usually eats lunch between 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm each day and dinner around 6:30 pm to 7:00 pm
Cook Responsibilities:
Provide lunch, and dinner for a family of 4 (2 pre-teens, 2 adults)
Grocery shopping
Organize Pantry
Take inventory
Fresh cake or pastries made weekly
Maintain a clean space
Family Assistant Responsibilities:
Assist with picking up pre-teens from school and activities as needed
Overnights as needed
Travel with the family occasionally
Assist with various household tasks and some errands for the family
Some pet care for dogs
Requirements:
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Valid passport and flexibility to travel domestically and internationally
Cooking experience for a private client or in the restaurant industry
Family Assistant experience preferred
Clear communication skills
Compensation
$100,000/year, health benefits + two weeks vacation + bonuses
