of this role, Women’s Health Care Area Business Director, are
to:
Be responsible for achievement of Area
sales and business goals for WHC portfolio;
Be accountable for successful
execution of the WHC portfolio product/marketing plans and
strategies on a regionalized basis;
Be accountable to leverage knowledge
of payer environment and key business issues to create a forward
thinking proactive area sales plan implemented by aligned
teams;
Ensure area resources are
collaborating with all Bayer stakeholder teams (One Bayer) Monitor
business performance of area and top accounts;
Identify and proactively address any
business gaps with appropriate measure;
Develop and implement field sales plan
supporting business unit (BU) strategies and tactics to provide
guidance to aligned field sales force for optimum efficiency and
motivational effort;
Provide compelling and motivational
leadership to sales team;
Be responsible to hire/train/mentor
Regional Sales Managers. Develop and drive succession planning
efforts on aligning people capabilities with the changing needs of
the business unit (BU) and of the organization;
Ensure that a sales personnel
development training plan is implemented throughout the region,
holds the region accountable to training
standards;
Develop a " deep bench " for
succession planning at all roles & management
levels;
Identify trends for competitive
landscape within the region; provide perspective about emerging
trends within the regional marketplace;
Provide feedback to marketing, medical
and sales leadership;
Manage Area budget and resource needs
for the area. Provide strategic feedback, measures and issues to VP
of Sales;
Foster new business opportunities and
development in the region;
Provide recommendations for
improvements or enhancement of product launch strategies, pricing,
marketing plans;
Allocate resources within the region;
measure ROI; Ensure successful implementation of business goals set
by VP Sales; provide feedback to VP Sales about Incentive Comp,
measurement of performance against (progress) ;
Develop long term relationships with
influential customers to address current and future business
issues. Builds effective and impactful strategic alliances with key
customer accounts;
Effectively navigate the organization
to enable increased area efficiency and
productivity;

position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the
following:Required
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree is required,
preferred major Science, Business, or Marketing;
A minimum of 10 years of experience in
pharmaceutical sales and marketing; including the following:
District Manager, Account Manager (MM RD Product Mgmt., Multi-BU
experience.);
Past experience in leading effective
teams with demonstrated success in sales
performance;
Must possess the managerial ability to
effectively organize and direct the functions under incumbent's
control;
Incumbent must be able to effectively
communicate with sales and cross-functional partners at all
levels.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Preferred experience as a successful
second-line leader.
