Description A well-established client is looking for a Payroll Tax Accountant to join their team based in Nashville, Tennessee. This role primarily revolves around managing multi-state payroll tax and payroll/HRIS systems. As a Payroll Tax Accountant, you will be expected to handle customer credit applications, maintain accurate records, and resolve customer inquiries in a timely and efficient manner. You will also be tasked with monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action when necessary.Responsibilities: Manage multi-state payroll tax operations and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. Handle various payroll/HRIS systems and ensure their smooth functioning. File and pay taxes for multiple states, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded and reported. Manage local taxes, including city, county, and school districts, and ensure timely payments. Process weekly payroll for a sizable number of employees, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Use Microsoft Excel for various tasks, including ad hoc reporting and data analysis. Oversee corporate income tax and corporate tax compliance to ensure that all tax obligations are met. Handle payroll for between 101-500 employees, ensuring that all payroll operations run smoothly. Manage multi-state payroll, ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time. Prepare payroll tax returns and ensure that they are filed accurately and on time.Qualified candidates contact Daniel Shomo Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience in Ad Hoc Reporting Strong understanding of Compliance and Compliance Audit procedures Expertise in Corporate Income Tax and Corporate Tax Compliance Familiarity with Local Payroll Tax and Multistate Payroll Ability to handle Payroll for 101 - 500 Employees Experience with Multi-state Payroll tasks Knowledge of preparing Payroll Tax Returns and managing Payroll Taxes Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
