Apply Today!Job Summary and QualificationsJOB SUMMARYThe Remediation Platform Engineer II is a technology and operations focused professional with an emphasis in information security controls, remediation and mitigation implementation technologies and automation of IT operations. Applies information security concepts, knowledge, and skills to support a comprehensive vulnerability remediation program. The Platform Engineer II works with Information Protection to review assessment results and determine appropriate remediation and mitigation activities and develop plans and tools that integrate into the enterprise environment.GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborates with Information Security on prioritization approach for vulnerability remediation. Coordinates with security to identify key controls (policy, procedure, practice, or organizational structure) that if implemented would provide reasonable assurance that security objectives will be achieved and undesired events will be prevented or detected and corrected. Performs activities to remediate and mitigate weaknesses and issues discovered through security reviews or audits, applications, processes, and IT infrastructure. Performs activities to develop tools and processes to ensure compliance with security standards as well as regulatory and audit issues. Deploys technically complex remediation and mitigation solutions across various platforms and components. Demonstrates written and verbal communication skills and works collaboratively across technical disciplines. Formally documents alternative security controls and the process for exceptions recommended by Information Security when applicable. Evaluates new and proposed remediation technologies and how they can be incorporated into the enterprise toolset. Participates in development activities to automate remediation and mitigation activities. Other duties as assigned.EducationBachelor’s degree preferredExperienceQualified candidates must have 3 years of relevant work experienceOTHER/SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS Capable of working effectively within a high pressure and demanding work environment. Must be self-motivated and work effectively with limited supervision. Must be customer-oriented and recognize the importance of customer service. Good process assessment, analytical, and planning skills and be able to multi-task proficiently and exhibit good decision-making skills. Ability to identify problems and note trends. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills. Effective negotiation and conflict management skills. Exhibits teamwork skills and abilities. Experience with automation and scripting of applications and systems (BASH, PowerShell, Python, etc.) Experience with operational support for operating systems, applications and networks. Advanced knowledge of client/server relationships. Common knowledge of relational databases and structured query language. Experience with enterprise remediation tools (SCCM, BigFix, Tanium). Working knowledge of GPO creation and management.
