PHARMACY TECHNICIAN JOB OPPORTUNITY
Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about and adhere to all relevant pharmacy laws and regulations.
Prescription Assistance: Support the Pharmacist in filling prescription orders, as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy.
Medication Preparation: Prepare medications for dispensing, packaging, and shipping.
Inventory Management: Handle inventory tasks, including placing orders, checking in drugs and supplies, stocking shelves, and removing expired items.
Order Entry: Enter medical supply orders into the pharmacy system.
Customer Communication: Interact with patients, clinics, caregivers, and physicians in a friendly and professional manner.
Returns Processing: Manage the return of medications from facilities for credit or destruction.
Data Entry: Input patient data and prescription information into the pharmacy information management system.
Prescription Orders: Take verbal prescription orders from licensed prescribers and transfer prescriptions between pharmacies, as permitted by state laws.

High school degree or equivalent preferred
Previous work experience required
One year as Certified Pharmacy Technician working in a retail, mail order, specialty, or hospital pharmacy environment
Customer service skills
Must be certified and registered in the state of TN
