Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring a Distribution Driver to contribute to our team in Distribution Operations in Lavergne, TN.Want to join a key team that helps the world read?At Ingram, the Operations team serves a key role within the organization.  We ensure that our distribution centers and warehouse facilities function at maximum efficiency.   Safety is a core value in our distribution environment.  We emphasize this through training, education and accident prevention programs.  Process Improvement is another core value, and through innovations such as voice and Radio Frequency (RF) technologies, as well as feedback from our associates, we work toward constant improvement. The world is reading, and it is our goal to connect as many people to the content they want in the simplest ways.  If you want to be part of a customer-centric team that strives for excellence, collaboration, innovation, we can’t wait to meet you!What You'll Need:High School diploma or GEDValid driver’s license and evidence of a good driving record, which is free of recent infractions and accidents1 year work experience in at least one previous job6 months work experience in a job title of “Driver” in a warehouse or production environment6 months work experience in a warehouse or production environment within the last 2 years6 months work experience which included walking, standing, lifting/carrying, pushing/pulling, gripping/grasping, bending, squatting/kneeling, twisting/turning, climbing, crawling, reaching above shoulders, typing/keyboardWhat You'll Do:Loads, delivers and unloads product for the over the road operation of delivery vans in a safe and efficient manner. Completes necessary paperwork and maintains standards.Operates van to transport orders to off site locations driving between 250 and 300 miles daily. Signs out vans, completes safety checklists daily, and reports any unsafe condition to supervisor.Loads and unloads the vans.Verifies contents of inventory loads against shipping papersObeys traffic laws and follows established traffic and transportation proceduresReports delays, accidents or other traffic and transportation situations to supervisor or destination using telephones or mobile two-way radios.Reads maps and follows written and verbal geographic directions.Ability to sit for extended periods of timeAbility to walk and stand continuously during the assigned shiftAbility to pass physical examination that includes testing for satisfactory vision (distance, peripheral, and depth perception), hearing, and blood pressure/pulse exams for safe operation of motorized equipmentAbility to lift/carry in full range of motion up to 70lbs during the assigned shift – 30lbs or less continuously, 50lbs frequently, and 70lbs occasionallyAbility to push/pull in a warehouse environment up to 70lbs force to push during the assigned shift – 1-50lbs continuously and 51-70lbs occasionallyAbility to grip/grasp continuously during the assigned shiftAbility to bend, squat/kneel, twist/turn, climb, crawl, reach above shoulder, and type/keyboard frequently during the assigned shiftAbility to work designated shift including overtime as required, which could include time before or after the designated shift and/or weekendsExposure to wide range of temperaturesReading comprehension skills up to high school levelWriting skills up to high school levelMath skills – basic arithmetic, addition, subtractionAttention to detailAbility to work safely and adhere to safety guidelines in a warehouse environmentAbility to determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed on equipmentAbility to perform routine maintenance on equipmentAbility to read maps to determine alternate routes to locations if primary route is blockedAbility to communicate with leadership in case of emergency on the road and determine safest course of action.Ability to perform repetitive manual tasksAbility to work independently or in a group environmentAbility to be flexible/ multi-task based on workflow demandsAbility to meet and maintain production standardsAbility to maintain reasonably reliable attendanceAbility to read, write, speak, hear, see, think, communicate, concentrate, learn, and workPerforms other duties as assigned
