Job Title: Podcast/AV Specialist
Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented Podcast/AV Specialist to join our team and oversee all aspects of audiovisual production and podcast creation. The ideal candidate will be passionate about podcasting, possess technical expertise in audio and video equipment, and demonstrate creativity in content creation and storytelling. This role will involve managing the entire podcast production process (you need to be comfortable with being in the podcast), from recording and editing to publishing and promotion.
Key Responsibilities:
Podcast Production: Plan, record, edit, and produce high-quality audio content for podcasts, ensuring clarity, consistency, and professionalism in sound production.
Audio Engineering: Set up and operate audio recording equipment, microphones, mixers, and sound editing software to achieve optimal sound quality and balance.
Video Production: Assist in the production of video content for podcasts, including recording interviews, editing video footage, and adding graphics or animations as needed.
Content Development: Collaborate with podcast hosts, guests, and content creators to develop engaging and compelling podcast episodes that resonate with the target audience.
Scriptwriting: Assist with scripting, outlining, and structuring podcast episodes to maintain a cohesive narrative and deliver key messages effectively.
Post-Production Editing: Edit audio and video recordings to enhance quality, remove errors, add music or sound effects, and ensure a polished final product.
Distribution and Promotion: Manage the distribution of podcast episodes across various platforms (e.g., Apple Podcasts, Spotify, etc.) and implement promotional strategies to increase listenership and engagement.
Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for podcast recording equipment, software tools, and audiovisual systems.
Quality Control: Conduct quality checks on audio and video content to ensure compliance with production standards, branding guidelines, and legal requirements.
Trend Monitoring: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in podcasting and audiovisual production to innovate and improve production processes.
Qualifications:
Audiovisual Expertise: Proficiency in operating audio recording equipment, digital audio workstations (DAWs), video cameras, and editing software (e.g., Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, Final Cut Pro, etc.).
Podcasting Experience: Demonstrated experience in podcast production, including recording, editing, and publishing audio content on podcast platforms.
Creative Skills: Strong creative vision, storytelling abilities, and attention to detail to produce engaging and captivating podcast episodes.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with audio compression, equalization, mixing techniques, and video editing principles to achieve professional-grade production quality.
