My dad is a disabled veteran with dementia. He wants to stay in his Hosp.Bed 98% of the time. Job duties: Food prep, Bed baths, etc., and cleaning his room only. The VA pays for 16 caregiving hours per week. I can switch these hours to benefit the private caregivers schedule. These VA caregivers have told me, “My Dad is so easy to take care of !” I was raised old school, to be a man of my word, and treat everyone with respect and dignity. Having a CNA certificate is a plus but not required. Taking care of my Dad is my #1 priority! I’ve been his caregiver for 1.5 years and I need to get back to work Pay will depend on experience.
