Position Summary: This position will be responsible for planning and implementing strategies to drive philanthropic revenue to Covenant Health’s foundations to include management of the annual giving program and stewardship program. These programs include employee giving WeCare, Grateful Patient program, Covenant Health Circle of Friends program, Covenant Health donor recognition societies, direct mail, retail support program (third party fundraising) and digital fundraising. The central function of this position will be developing donor loyalty, increasing donor base, and building a foundation for future major gift donors. Responsible for the planning and implementation of the Office of Philanthropy annual giving program, including employee giving WeCare campaign, online giving, direct mail, grateful patients, digital campaigns, and retail third party support program.

Responsible for the implementation of the Office of Philanthropy stewardship program, including donor recognition societies.

Build and maintain positive relationships with individual donors, volunteers, and community stakeholders.

Oversee strategy and implementation for national giving days like Giving Tuesday, National Doctors Day, National Hospital Week, National Nurses Week, etc.

Plan & execute steps for donor identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship for annual giving donors.

Assure accurate and timely action entry, reporting, and stewardship.

Collaborate with fellow department team members to benefit fundraising efforts, including working fundraising events.

Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.

Performs other duties as assigned.

QualificationsMinimum Education: None specified; will accept any combination of formal education and/or prior work experience sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skill and ability needed to perform the essential tasks of the job, typically such as would be equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree. Preference may be given to individuals possessing a Bachelor’s degree in a directly-related field from an accredited college or university Minimum Experience: Five (5) years of relevant experience required. Excellent writing, analytical and research skills are essential. Candidates must be self-motivated, detail oriented and highly-organized and have experience using online databases and other sources to locate biographical, financial and philanthropic information. High level of computer literacy required, including familiarity with Raisers Edge and Foundation databases. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher). Must be able to work well under pressure and the ability to see and synthesize information and communicate in a compelling and succinct form along with a solid understanding of budgets as they relate to proposals and grants.
