Kennel TechnicianOverview:
We are seeking a dedicated Kennel Technician to join our team. As a Kennel Technician, you will play a crucial role in the care and well-being of our dogs. If you are passionate about dogs and enjoy working in a dynamic environment, we would love to hear from you.Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive dog care including feeding, watering, monitoring potty breaks/play groups, and occasionally applying medication (as needed).
- Handle dogs with care and confidence, demonstrating proficiency in dog handling, safety, and situational awareness.
- Occasionally provide basic grooming and bathing tasks.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as needed to assist with dog handling/care and facility cleanliness/maintenance.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the kennel facility including cleaning and disinfecting kennels, dog surroundings, and common areas.
- Collaborate and communicate with Coaches and Trainers and assist with care procedures as required.
- Support dog training efforts by following basic protocols.Experience:
- Experience in animal care, animal handling, or related field is a plus.
- Knowledge of basic animal behavior and handling techniques.
- Familiarity with common animal health issues and first aid procedures.
- Any experience with cleaning or sanitizing common areas is a definite bonus!Requirements:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently, but as a vital part of the team.
- Physical stamina and ability to work with dogs of all breeds.
