Description We urgently seeking to fill a Leave of Absence Specialist opportunity with experience within a larger organization. To include FMLA, short and long term disability, maternity/parental leave, any any other type of leave from work. Compensation will need to be calculated working on deadlines for each project. Located in Franklin, Tennessee. This role involves working closely with vendors and internal staff, ensuring efficient leave management processes. It is a long-term contract opportunity that offers a combination of on-site and remote work.Responsibilities: Collaborate with our new vendor to ensure a smooth setup of leave management processes Handle leave of absence operations, ensuring compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and compensation Provide comprehensive assistance to internal staff regarding leave policies and procedures Ensure accurate and timely update of leave status and records Use Human Resources software to manage leave data efficiently Address inquiries related to leave of absence, providing accurate and timely responses Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor, fostering positive relations with staff Ensure attention to detail in all operations, maintaining a high standard of accuracy in record keeping and communication Take initiative in resolving issues related to leave of absence Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when dealing with sensitive employee informationRequirements Applicant must have prior experience in Leave of Absence management within the healthcare, hospitals, or social assistance sectors. Proficiency in using Human Resources software is required. Comprehensive understanding of federal and state leave laws is necessary. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are needed to effectively interact with employees and management. Applicant should possess excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion is crucial. Experience in managing and prioritizing multiple tasks concurrently is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook is required. Applicant must have a strong problem-solving ability and be able to work independently. Knowledge of HRIS systems and their application in managing leave of absences is preferred. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred. Professional certification in Human Resources (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) is a plus. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyze data. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment is necessary.
