Norris & Son, Inc is a family-owned business providing refractory installation for various industries throughout the US including power generation, pulp/paper, W2E, aluminum since 1947. We work with rammed plastics, shotcrete, gunite, castable refractories, ceramic fiber modules, and brick.
What we are looking for:
We are seeking an experienced traveling foreman to join our team. You will be responsible for overseeing and working with your team on various projects, managing workflow and ensuring installations are done according to customer needs and in accordance with industry best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and perform refractory installation projects from start to finish
- Ensure adherence to project specifications and safety regulations
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines
- Collaborate with our customers
- Provide guidance to your team
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction
Experience:
Experience as a foreman, superintendent, or similar role in the refractory industry
Knowledge of refractory installation techniques and materials
Ability to understand shop drawings and blueprints
Gunite operator/nozzleman
red brick, block, and/or flatwork experience is a plus
