The Lead Installer at Haskel Sears Design is a key player, ensuring the seamless transition of handcrafted millwork from the shop to the final on-site installation. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, customer service focus, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.
Responsibilities:
- Installation Expertise:
- Collaborates with the Project Manager to understand project plans, shop drawings, and installation specifications.
- Leads the installation team, effectively assigning tasks based on skillsets and project requirements.
- Oversees the safe and efficient on-site installation of millwork components, adhering to industry standards and building codes.
- Troubleshoots unforeseen installation challenges and develops solutions to maintain project timelines.
- May train installers on advanced installation techniques or carpentry skills to address complex situations.
- Team Leadership:
- Fosters a positive and collaborative work environment among the installation crew.
- Motivates the team to achieve high-quality installations while prioritizing safety and efficiency.
- Provides clear instructions and guidance to ensure installers understand their tasks and responsibilities.
- Delegates tasks effectively and monitors progress, offering support and feedback as needed.
- Customer Service Focus:
- Acts as the primary point of contact for clients during the installation process, addressing questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Maintains a clean and professional worksite, minimizing disruption to the client's environment.
- Performs final inspections to ensure customer satisfaction with the completed installation.
- Vehicle and Equipment Management:
- Oversees the maintenance and upkeep of company work trucks and installation tools.
- Ensures all equipment is functioning properly and meets safety standards before each installation.
- Maintains accurate records of equipment usage and service needs.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in on-site millwork or carpentry installations.
- Strong understanding of construction practices, safety protocols, and building codes.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and shop drawings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients, installers, and other team members.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- A commitment to providing exceptional customer service and exceeding client expectations.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
