Position Mobility: This is a hybrid position.Posting Open: 05/17/2024 Posting Close: 05/20/2024 at 11:59 pm EST Salary: Competitive Position Purpose Provides guidance to the Workforce Strategy & Development/Labor Supply & Partnership team the subject matter expert on business, technical, and other related topics. Makes recommendations for direction/path forward and ensures the teams accountability of actions and commitments. Maintains ultimate responsibility for driving programmatic efficiencies and enhancing customer experiences within the function supported by identifying practical applications of innovative technologies, solving business impacts, and improving processes needed to bring concepts to life, while partnering with customers across the enterprise to implement. Responsible for optimizing and communicating the purpose and value of workforce development/labor supply to other TVA business units and ensuring strategic alignment with overall TVA mission and goals. Leads breakthrough innovation and drives results through a proven combination of strategic thinking, a technical skill set and strong business acumen. Supervisory Responsibility May lead functional teams or projects. Principal Accountabilities

Provides strategic “look-ahead” capability for the enterprise to develop solutions for labor/workforce development gaps with the latest technologies.

Provides oversight and serves as the subject matter expert and advocate for appropriate use of internal and external career readiness programs, technologies and best practices specific to workforce readiness, and partners with other parts of the enterprise to ensure the use of consistent processes and standards.

Sets standards and consults on the appropriate use of workforce readiness methodologies and best practices across the enterprise. Ensures the use of consistent processes and standards.

Anticipates and assists with solving physical and technical hurdles associated with meeting labor demands and identifying labor supply.

Develops enterprise strategies for addressing future workforce and skill gaps through a combination of reskilling, critical pipeline development, formulating new external partnerships, and automation where appropriate.

Consults on significant technical, business, or political issues affecting TVA and SBU workforce needs and makes recommendations for improvements or company direction.

expert level consultation on key budgeting, technical, programmatic, and operational issues/matters that affect or have the potential to affect TVA and SBU operations, as well as issues regarding policy, procedural development, and implementation of improvement actions.

Represents Workforce Strategy/Labor Supply and serves as a partner with other areas across TVA to ensure continuous improvement, driving a positive experience for all internal and external customers/partners while delivering cost effective solutions to workforce readiness and unmet labor needs.

Oversees and directs the use of new strategies and tactics in the development and delivery of career readiness and labor planning to ensure goals, objectives, and standards are met and that the maximum amount of return is received per dollar invested.

Responsible for design, development, and implementation of communications and change management plans associated with workforce development, career readiness, and labor supply programs and internal/external benchmarking.

Serves as a liaison to the Communications organization and supports the production of features and projects using available social media, including production of video and audio projects.

Creates white papers, project plans, briefings, presentations, and overall support related to the ELT and other TVA and Union leaders (as applicable) on the application of career readiness and unmet labor demands across the enterprise, impacts to the Tennessee Valley, and associated industry trends.

Contributes to the development of the function's strategy and creates and implements supporting documents including road maps and project plans.

Works with key TVA business stakeholders (such as HR&A, External Relations, Economic Development) and key community stakeholders (such as educational institutions, local and state agencies, non-profits, etc.) to build internal and external programs and strategies.

Monitors, assesses and benchmarks workforce development, career readiness, and labor supply trends for continuous improvement strategies.

Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

Education– B.S. degree in Business Analytics, Business Management, Communications, Economics, or Engineering Technology or equivalent related experience, training and education. An advanced degree is desirable.

Experience— 8 or more years of work experience in the utility industry. More than two years of experience in work that supports business operations, process improvement, business analytics, workforce development, career readiness, and/or project management.

Certification/License, etc— Lean Six Sigma, project management or related professional certifications desirable.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities— Must have strong leadership skills and the ability to own and deliver results for multiple components of a strategic program. Must have advanced knowledge of TVA, ability to interpret regulatory requirements, and career readiness delivery channels, as well as knowledge of the labor relations process. Demonstrated abilities in producing high quality, error-free work and meeting challenging deadlines to accomplish benchmarking, project plans and other high-impact initiatives. must be self-directed, utilize effective change management and problem solving skills. Possesses proven project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams in breakthrough innovation platforms. Demonstrated relationship building skills and ability to work with various levels of management and teams. Must have demonstrated proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point, Articulate, and video for interactive marketing experience.
