Full Charge Bookkeeper

Description We are offering a long-term opportunity for a Ful Charge Bookkeeper, located in downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee. In this role, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities supporting the senior accounting management, including the compilation and analysis of financial data, preparation of accounting entries and reports, and management of daily and weekly business transactions.Responsibilities: Compile and analyze financial data to prepare general ledger account entries Prepare balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize and interpret the company's current and projected financial position Audit contracts, orders, and vouchers to substantiate individual transactions prior to settlement Implement and modify accounting systems and control procedures, documenting changes as necessary Maintain and suggest improvements for the general accounting system Make recommendations and execute transactions regarding the accounts of reserves, assets, and expenditures Conduct studies and submit recommendations for improving the organization's accounting operation Perform treasury transactions, such as wires, credit card transactions, checks & ACH Collect data for federal, state, and local reports and tax returns Adhere to company policies and safety rules at all times Undertake other duties as assignedRequirements Minimum of 3 years' experience in an accounting role Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is highly desirable Experience with Concur is beneficial Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions is essential Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Proven experience in Auditing Ability to handle Balance Sheet Account preparations and analysis.All candidates must undergo drug and background screening for consideration Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
