Programmers and less-experienced applicants welcome! Please see some info about the positions below:CNC MachinistDescription:Working off customers prints for ensuring quality of created products. Team environment and a smaller company so they may wear multiple hats. They will need to be able to understand programming and have a strong drive to be a utility knife within the facility for learning both CNC mills and lathes, Mazak and Haas machines, and VTL large machining to be useful. Ability to use MasterCAM for programming CNC machines is a huge plus.
Start, set up, and operate CNC lathes and mills to produce tools and parts
Candidates must have experience with CNC operation and making technical and mechanical adjustments for set-ups, changeovers, and quality assurance
Will use G&M code and/or conversational code to edit and adjust CNC programs to manufacture precise parts
Checking parts against blueprints for quality
Orientations and test runs to ensure quality and efficiency
Changing offsets, feeds, and speeds
Removing replacing tools and parts
Machine maintenance
Troubleshooting and fixing issues and optimizing efficiency and runtimes
Custom and production parts
Must-Have Skills:
CNC set-ups, operation, and changeovers
Experience with lathes
Changing tooling
Changing offsets, feeds, and speeds
Reading blueprints
Using calipers, micrometers, and gauges for quality assurance
Familiarity with G&M code and/or conversational code
Preferred Skills:
CNC troubleshooting
Experience with Mazak machines
CNC program adjustments or programming from scratch
G&M code or conversational code (Mazatrol for Mazak machines) experience
Using CAD/CAM software for programming such as MasterCAM, FeaturCAM, SolidWorks, Fusion360, etc.
Probing, changing movements and locations of axis
Setting up and operating a VTL (vertical turning lathe)
