Facility: Womens Health Plaza Building Location: Sioux Falls, SD Address: 5019 S Western Ave Unit 200, Sioux Falls, SD 57108, USA Shift: Varies Job Schedule: Full time Weekly Hours: 32.00 Salary Range: $17.00 (Based on years of experience) - $23 Department Details This Medical Assistant will be assisting the providers, rooming patients, assisting patients navigate the clinic. This position will also assist with the front desk, scheduling appointments, retail tasks selling skincare products, and other various clinical duties. Clinic is open: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays: 8:30a - 5:00p Thursdays: 8:30a - 8:00p Saturdays: 8:30a - 12:00p Schedule is based off of the clinic needs Job Summary We re seeking a caring, responsible, and empathetic Medical Assistant (MA/CMA) who will be involved in assisting with patient care for all ages in an ambulatory setting. The Medical Assistant will be an advocate for the patient s needs by collaborating with both the patient and their care team to ensure that the patient is comfortable throughout their healthcare journey at Sanford. Responsibilities- Collects subjective and objective health status data from the patient or caregiver and communicates data to healthcare provider
- Follows through on the patient s plan of care under the direction of the provider
- Communicates the provider s written instructions for care to the patient, or caregiver
- Participates in care for patients, across the lifespan, in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, treatment, and follow-up as patients move in and out of care settings
- Obtains vital signs, prepares patients for examinations, observes and reports patient s signs or symptoms, and performs point of care testing
