SUMMARY Responsible for the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials to support production work centers. Ensure production has the necessary materials and supplies to manufacture products and complete production schedules in a timely and efficient manner.ESSENTIAL fUNCTIONS Perform cycle and inventory counts of raw materials and inventory locations as required.
Follow department processes to assure inventory accuracy.
Verify established criteria, and supply materials to production work centers.
Transport materials or finished products between work centers, or to appropriate storage locations.
Complete necessary paperwork per processes.
Depending on division, may operate forklift or company pickup truck.
Participate in production improvement initiatives.
Maintain a clean and safe work area. Follow established safety and ergonomic standards.
May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent education.
Previous production experience is preferred.
Depending on division, have ability to operate a forklift, pallet mover, and hoist equipment.
Ability to maintain accurate records.
Good organizational skills.
Proficiency with a computer.
Team player who is self-motivated, and has ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.
