Hello fellow Arborists and those who would like to start a career in Arboriculture!
My name is Shannon, and I am a General Foreman with Wright Tree Service. We are a Utility tree service contracted with Xcel. We are currently in need of Groundpersons and Climbing Trainees to join our Company. We start Groundspersons at $20.67 /hr ; and starting pay for Climbers/equipment operators with prior utility arboriculture experience at $23.51/hr. You would also receive $85 a day in per diem when traveling more then 75 miles from home, or staying at a hotel. EXCELLENT retirement and health benefits after the first month, and vaca/holiday pay at 1,000 & 1800 hrs. It is dependable work- not dependent on private jobs, as a utility tree service there is ALWAYS work. We are currently working 4, 10 hr shifts, 7am- 5:30 pm so you would get a 3 day weekend! The traveling Western MN work 3 x 12 hr days, which includes 2 hrs of 1.5 time OT pay daily. We also have the option of overtime hrs with time and a half pay on Fridays, if one wants to travel to the Eastern MN crews.
Looking for those who love the outside, and who are dependable. We are apart of IBEW (international brotherhood of electrical workers) union.
We are looking for those that live in all areas of the state of MN, but I am looking to fill our crews that work out of Monticello/Buffalo/western cities of MN. This is a traveling crew that stay overnight in hotels for most of the year, depending on where you live you may choose to drive home if the particular line we are working on is close enough to you.
