Wurth Electronics Midcom, Inc. in Watertown, SD seeks Product Definition Engineer. (multiple openings)

Responsibilities: The Product Definition Engineer will be responsible for defining potential new products by providing direct feedback from Integrated Circuit (IC) manufacturers working on cutting-edge technologies. This role requires maintaining close communication across multiple departments both within the company and externally; collaborating with engineers and marketing teams at IC manufacturers, product managers, marketing, and communication teams within the global company; serving as the EMC specialist conducting technical in-house seminars and providing EMC support; utilizing proprietary project management software alongside electrical engineering tools such as Altium and LT spice to address and resolve customer issues effectively; and other duties as assigned. Employee may be stationed anywhere in the continental U.S. but will report to Wurth Electronics Midcom headquarters in Watertown, SD. Domestic travel required 30% of the time.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, System Engineering or closely related engineering field (or foreign equivalent).

Requirements: 3 months of experience in the job offered or related position. Other special requirements include: 3 months of experience working with all aspects of the IC product lifecycle including design, implementation, and ongoing support; 3 months of experience working with Altium, LTspice, KiCad, OrCAD or similar electrical engineering software tools; 3 months of experience providing technical documents that support engineering development; 3 months of experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project schedules, develop project milestones, and communicate KPIs to leadership.
