The Expeditor will be responsible for working directly with the suppliers, and in the IPT’s to eliminate down time due to part shortages. Assisting all materials planning and purchasing activities for assigned products and/or Manufacturing work cells to support the requirements established by the Master Schedule. The selected candidate will assist with the purchasing of a wide variety of equipment and materials requiring some knowledge of electronic and/or mechanical product specifications and sources of supply under the direction of a more senior Buyer or Manager.
Responsibilities and Tasks in order of priority to be successful:Analyze, and execute open order reports, and reschedule messages.Assist Buyers/Subcontracts in PO preparation, maintenance, and supplier management.Assist A/P and S/C with invoice issues to recognize discounted payment terms via early payment opportunities and avoid late payments/penalties.Assist in the processing of supplier returns to include all aspects of the RMA process to ensure timely returns of defective materials to suppliers and affiliates.
