The Lead Mechanical Engineer is responsible for overseeing the discipline at a project level and managing the project discipline budget on simple to complex projects of all sizes. The Lead Engineer has a thorough understanding of the development and field implementation of documents through all project phases. The Lead Mechanical Engineer possesses the ability to coordinate with internal and external parties, manage multiple complex tasks, establish priorities and direct the work of others. The Lead Mechanical Engineer may work independently or at the direction of the Project Manager. The Lead Mechanical Engineer is responsible for directing and managing the workflows and execution of design and engineering support staff (Entry-Level to Senior) to meet client expectation and project goals.The Senior Mechanical Engineer has a thorough understanding of the development and field implementation of documents through all project phases, sizes, and levels of complexity. The Senior Mechanical Engineer possesses the ability to coordinate with internal and external parties, manage multiple complex tasks, establish priorities and direct the work of others. The Senior Mechanical Engineer shall be able to act as the mechanical point-of-contact for clients, other disciplines, and pre-con services for their scope areas, be able to complete a complex project code analysis, plan and prepare bid/permit/construction deliverables (including details and specifications), and understand the technical and design aspects of CRB’s market areas.This is an onsite hybrid opportunityResponsibilitiesInterface with client and external partnersPlan and direct work and manage a project budget form a mechanical design perspective on large complex projectsWork with a Project Manager to proposal development, man-hour planning, project scheduling for the mechanical scope of work on intermediate level projectsConducting and leading field surveys of existing conditions and support of field reportingIdentify and resolve intermediate non-compliant existing conditions during site walks and construction field surveysDevelop intermediate internal mechanical design and engineering training presentationsDevelop construction drawing packages and write construction specifications on advanced and complex projects with little oversightLead and advanced support of construction activities such as RFI responses, submittal reviews, punch list development, and construction progress reportsConduct quality checking of documents for intermediate complex projects, e.g., technical verification of design calculations and documentation, and drive overall project qualityProvide mentorship to discipline Mechanical Engineer I and II and/or Designer I and IILead advanced project system design programming and master planning with support from Senior EngineerLead a team of mechanical staff in the execution of advanced projects discipline design and engineering
