Job Summary
The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) at Avera Behavioral Health and Avera Addiction Care Center serves as a liaison for nurses, counselors, and patients in interdepartmental communications.
Assists with the physical and psychological care of patients under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Assumes responsibility and accountability for individual actions and outcomes of patient care delivered.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Two years related experience preferred.
License/Certification
BLS –Basic Life Support required.
CPI –Crisis Prevention Intervention required.
Work Hours
Evening/Night Shift; 72 hours every 2 weeks
Every 3rd weekend
Every 3rd holiday
Occasional call time
PayThe hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.€¯
