In this role, technical new hires are eligible to participate in AECOM’s Graduate Development Program (GDP), a 2-year development experience designed to support assimilation into the organization, help with technical development planning toward licensure (or other early technical milestones), and with creating a foundation of knowledge necessary for future career success.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Preparing the planning and design documents for civil and environmental engineering projects under supervision of a professional engineer, project manager or senior-level team member using engineering design software and equipmentEffectively using reports, maps, drawings, engineering plans, tests, and aerial photographs to assess soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and topographical and geologic data to plan and design projectsCoordinates and performs field inspection services, as neededWrites and/or reviews draft reports, including erosion and sediment control narratives, stormwater management reports, and technical specificationsTravel (approximately 50%) as needed for field assignments conducting dam inspections, overseeing subsurface investigations, and construction quality assurance (CQA) oversight of construction activities as needed.
